图书简介
It has been over eleven years since Rons first book The Intelligent Guide to Property Development in Australia was published followed by Australian Residential Property Development two years later. Since these publications he has gained additional knowledge and experience which has now been documented in this new book. Over this time he travelled over three continents, Australia, Asia and Africa working on various projects from housing estates to large scale infrastructure developments for private companies to government Institutions. The underlying processes and principles of property development are applicable in most countries but there will always be nuances in the market of that country that could alter the viability of a development. It is therefore important to undertake thorough research before applying a development strategy ready for implementation. This book provides you with the guide and understanding of these principles that when applied will lead to better decision making in the development process.  Although the majority of Rons work in property development over the last decade has been in the commercial and infrastructure sector, he has found that there is still a strong interest in Australia in the residential sector. His earlier book Australian Residential Property Development gives a good understanding of developing in the residential sector whereas this book, although similar, is more advanced and sheds new light on how modern technology through the internet can facilitate the development process with additional chapters such as Utilising modern technology and Development economics a subject that is vital to any property developer.     The book is set out in two parts. The first part describes the principles and processes of residential property development in Australia and the second details specific asset types from residential land developments to student housing. It does not cover additions and alterations or single home speculation and there are plenty books written by other authors covering this subject. The reason for covering these asset types is that although the development principles are similar it demonstrates that each type have their own peculiarities.
