This is a well-written and well-illustrated portable book that serves as an excellent quick resource for problems encountered in tropical countries. While there are recently published textbooks of tropical dermatology and atlases of tropical infectious diseases and parasitology, this book is unique in the way it presents clinical case studies with pictures and short discussions of the presentation and treatment. It would be a good resource for a travel medicine physician evaluating a patient who has returned with a problem, or a physician or senior student wishing to put their knowledge to the test either in the classroom or in stints in the tropics taking care of patients.
