Edward Jerningham Wakefield (1820–1876) was part of one of the first expeditions to found a colony in New Zealand. This volume, first published in 1908, contains Wakefield’s account of his stay in New Zealand during the founding of the colony, and provides valuable insights into contemporary social conditions.
