图书简介
The authors discuss radiative transfer in the coupled atmosphere-surface(earth) system with Lambertian as well non-Lambertian reflecting surfaces at the lower boundary. A broad spectral range from the ultraviolet to the microwave region of the electromagnetic spectrum is covered and different types of remote sensing discussed. The authors explain how to formulate and solve forward and inverse problems related to coupled media in a comprehensive and systematic manner, and give examples of how to solve concrete problems in environmental remote sensing of coupled atmosphere-surface systems. Solutions of the forward problem for unpolarized and polarized radiation will be discussed in considerable detail. Courses: Remote sensing GE3700 (essential) for scientists working in atmospheric physics (PH2605), geophysics (PH3600) and pedology. Radiative transfer (supplementary)
