The first edition of Google SketchUp for Site Design successfully met the demand among landscape architects and site design professionals for specific guidance on using SketchUp in a way that was tailored to their needs to model site plans and terrains. Since the first editions publication in 2009, many changes to the software have occurred, including the purchase of SketchUp by Trimble from Google. This new edition will revise the book in line with most recent software updates, new terrain modeling tools and extensions. It will also refresh graphics and menus, so that they reflect the current look and feel of SketchUp. The 2nd edition enhances the first editions step-by-step tutorial approach, guiding the reader from the basics through to more advanced methods. The most significant new content will be in the third part of the books that will be entirely rewritten to include new extensions that aid in the generation of terrains and grades.
