While there are texts devoted to groundwater modeling and texts devoted to the impact of subsurface processes on contaminant behavior, there is a need for a dedicated text that uses model results to help readers understand the effect of physical and biochemical processes on groundwater contaminant fate and transport. This book fills that need by presenting the solutions to simple analytical models so as to facilitate reader understanding into how subsurface processes affect contaminant behavior. The book is accompanied by a companion website with a downloadable modeling tool that provides easily understood graphical output for over thirty models. 燯se of the modeling tool in conjunction with the text allows the reader to run simulations in order to observe the effect of subsurface processes, and parameters describing the magnitude of those processes, on the ultimate fate of groundwater contaminants.The book includes a compendium of analytical solutions along with examples of how these solutions are derived from the governing model equations.牋
