图书简介
The imagery in Ray’s paintings come from his personal experiences. It is this visual world and its impact that are revealed in his work, with his city of Calcutta and his early days in a village in Bangladesh as major themes. While water-colours have never been regarded as a major medium of painting, for Ray they have immense possibilities through which he expresses his delicate and finer feelings. Born in Bihar, India, Ray trained at the Government College of Arts and Crafts in Calcutta and has been exhibiting since 1962 in solo and group shows across the world. He is the winner of many awards and his works are in the collections of the Victoria
