图书简介
The visible learning framework is based on John Hattie’s meta-analysis of research on 4 million students around the world, not just the US. Visible learning is a global phenomenon, possibly better known abroad than in the US. Emphasis on student self-assessment has strong international appeal. While it’s touched on in other books, this is the first full book on what is a critical component to the visible learning framework. Dovetails well with the focus on assessment even for those working outside of the visible learning framework. Countries like Japan, Sweeden, the UK, Australia, etc. all place a great deal of emphasis on student self-assessment Doug and Nancy have a growing international profile, and a great strength as they are still classroom teachers. Unique combination of one of the world’s best known educational researchers (Hattie), and two teachers who are very authentic and spend a great deal of time in the classroom (Fisher/Frey). Compliments a great and growing body of literature written by these three authors.
